Your privacy is important to us. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data Oostvogels collects from you, what we use the personal data for, and with whom we may share it.
Our vision on privacy:
Oostvogels respects your privacy. We appreciate the trust you place in us and take care to treat the personal information you provide us with confidentially. The data requested on our website, such as email addresses, is used exclusively for our services.
We use your personal information to handle your request or inquiry as quickly as possible. This data is only used with your permission. Oostvogels will never sell your personal data and will only make it available to third parties directly involved in the provision of services. Our employees and third parties we engage are required to respect the confidentiality of your data.
What are “personal data”?
According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data is defined as “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person”. As such, this includes, among other things, your name, telephone number or email address. The IP number of your computer or device is also personal data. When you contact us, you inevitably share personal data with us.
What personal data do we process?
Oostvogels offers a wide range of services. To serve you as best as possible, we use various tools that collect, store and process personal data. Below are the different categories of personal data we collect:
Who you are
Name, address and email address of your company or foundation. Subsequently, the names and functions of contacts or representatives of your company are obtained and stored.
Tracking
We want to know if the content of our website meets the needs of our visitors. Tracking scripts are loaded via Google Tag Manager. This tool complies with the GDPR provisions.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze how website visitors use the website. This data is kept anonymous and the tool complies with the GDPR guidelines. This means that we have entered into a processing agreement with Google. This agreement states that we have disabled the “data sharing” option and that we do not use any other Google services in conjunction with Google Analytics cookies.
LinkedIn Insights
The LinkedIn Insight tag is a JavaScript code that we have added to our website to enable in-depth campaign analysis and help us gain valuable insights into the visitors of our website. We use LinkedIn’s Linked Insight tag to monitor conversions, retarget website visitors and gain additional insights into members who are engaging with our LinkedIn ads. Please refer to your LinkedIn settings if you wish to disable LinkedIn cookies. For more information, please refer to LinkedIn’s Cookie Policy.
LinkedIn’s Insight tag facilitates the collection of metadata. These include IP address, timestamp, and multiple actions such as page views. All data is encrypted. The LinkedIn browser cookie is stored in the guest’s browser until it is removed or expires. The tag expires six months after the last date the guest’s browser loaded it.
Chat
For the chat service, we work with LiveChat Service (https://livechatservice.nl/). They use software from LiveChat Inc. (https://www.livechatinc.com/). Both companies have their own privacy policy, which falls under the GDPR.
Data storage
The forms on the website are used to inform the contacts of the Business Lines by email about contact requests. To prevent contact requests from being lost due to email (server) problems, a backup of the data is kept in the website’s database. This data is deleted after 90 days.
Cookies
Oostvogels uses cookies to manage our website, provide our online services and collect necessary data. Cookies enable us to save your preferences and settings and to offer you advertisements based on your interests. Cookies also enable you to log in. In addition, cookies help in fraud prevention and allow us to monitor the performance of our website and online services. View our Cookie Policy (EU).
For what purpose do we use your data?
Optimising our services is only possible if we know our customers well. Therefore, we request and process personal data. Using this personal data enables us to:
Improve and innovate
Oostvogels strives for better, faster and more personalised services and always tries to be at the forefront. We use your personal data to personalise our services by combining and analysing personal data. Such analyses provide us with new ideas and better solutions. This improves our service to you, the customer.
Marketing activities
We like to inform you via e-mail, newsletters and personalised advertisements, both on our website and on third-party websites and social media.
With whom do we share your personal data?
We do not share your personal data with third parties unless we are (legally) obliged to do so. Subject to legal provisions, law enforcement agencies and tax authorities may require us to provide them with personal data. In addition, a court may require us to share certain personal data with a third party under certain circumstances. Finally, we may have to share your personal data with third parties on the basis of an agreement.
This is how we take care of your personal data
We spend a lot of time and money on the security of our systems, which includes your personal data. Access to our systems can only be obtained by using a username and password in combination with an RSA token. We also have a personal data breach procedure, which means that we record any data leak and, if necessary, report this leak to the authority in the Netherlands responsible for GDPR compliance. If necessary, we also inform the data subject.
