History

In 1930 Mr. Oostvogels Senior, then aged 18, began his own company at Achtmaal on the Dutch/Belgian border.

His first job was to transport earth for a reclamation project. In less than two years, horse and cart were replaced by a motorised truck and he began to transport cattle and agricultural products. After the war, activities restarted with an old GMC army truck and was successful enough that, in 1960, further trucks could be afforded.

In 1968, Mr. Oostvogels Senior transferred ownership of the company to two of his sons, whose energy resulted in the addition of four new trucks and the building of a 1000 sq. m. warehouse. When, 1989, his brother stopped working due to health reasons, Johan ran the company alone. Meanwhile, the fleet increased to 24 vehicles and Achtmaal gradually became too small. For this reason, Oostvogels BV moved  to the more strategically located industrial estate Hazeldonk.

Today, the company continues to grow steadily and currently has 90 vehicles and has over 45000 sq. m. at its disposal. The next generation of Oostvogels, Edwin and Claudia are looking forward to the future.
